Today in America With Terry Bradshaw

Coral Springs, Florida (PRWEB) January 18, 2012

Committed to delivering news and engaging discussions, The Today in America TV program with Terry Bradshaw unveils its first segment on how the generation that defined tree hugging continues their initiatives on keeping it green.

“We were looking for content about eco-tourism that spoke to the affluent travelers with a love of the great outdoors,” says Doug Scott, Executive Producer of Today in America TV. “The Boat Company was the perfect fit as one of the world’s only luxury passenger eco cruise that’s non-profit.”

Already filling in slots for its May through September, The Boat Company operates the premiere small boat Alaskan cruise between Sitka and Juneau. By limiting the number of passengers (there is ratio of two guests per one crew member), luxury from the guest quarters to the epicurean experience and off ship activities is the company’s priority which is only matched by its commitment to advocacy.

The Boat Company, incorporated in Alaska in 1979 by the McIntosh Foundation, is a non-profit educational organization offering luxury eco-cruises through Southeast Alaska (allowing for a portion of reservation to be tax deductible). With over 30 years of work in Alaska, The Boat Company has reinvested between $ 25 and $ 30 million in their conservation efforts.

They were also speakers at The International Ecotourism Society (TIES), the Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference (ESTC) is North America’s largest and only conference.

Today in America is the first show of its genre hosted by Terry Bradshaw that is geared towards the educated, affluent viewer. Based on viewer feedback, the show has spawned great interest in many luxury markets.

NBC Announces New Poker-Themed Show Called “Face the Ace”

NBC Announces New Poker-Themed Show Called “Face the Ace”

Steve Schirripa-Host of “Face The Ace”

Universal City, CA (PRWEB) April 30, 2009

Continuing its commitment to bring viewers the most entertaining poker shows on television, NBC is announcing a new variation in its already strong poker lineup with the addition of a new show called “Face the Ace.” This show will allow contestants the opportunity to compete against as many as three different top professional poker players on national television for the chance to win $ 1 million. The show will be hosted by Steve Schirripa, a regular on the HBO acclaimed series “The Sopranos.”

“Face the Ace” combines elements of the entertainment found on a game show, the drama of a reality show, and the intense pressure of a player competing in a poker tournament with huge sums of money on the line. Quite simply, there is nothing like it on television, and it should appeal to not only poker fans but to viewers who enjoy putting themselves in the shoes of contestants faced with big decisions for the potential of life-changing money.

To have the opportunity to appear on the show, fans can go to either http://www.facetheace.com or http://www.fulltiltpoker.net and enroll in free qualifying tournaments which are currently running around-the-clock. The first set of winners will be flown to Las Vegas this summer for the taping of seven one-hour shows currently scheduled to begin airing on Saturday, August 1 at 9:00 p.m. EDT, NBC’s first entry into prime time poker programming. The show on August 8 will also appear in this time slot, with the remainder appearing on a yet-to-be-determined time on Saturday afternoons.

If selected to be a participant on the show, the contestant will have to choose between four smoked-glass doors, behind which are four top professional poker players, or the “Aces.” Once one is chosen, the contestant will play that pro in a heads-up no-limit Texas hold’em match. Should the contestant defeat the pro, they will have the opportunity to take the money they have won and leave or risk it all and choose another door and battle a different pro for a significantly larger sum of money.

Should they defeat the second pro, they will again be faced with the decision of taking the money they have won, or foregoing it and choosing a third door and facing off against another top-ranked pro. Successfully defeating three pros in a row will result in the contestant winning $ 1 million. If the contestant loses any of their matches, they go home with nothing.

Contestants must be at least 21 years of age. Complete rules can be found on the Face the Ace website at http://www.facetheace.com/rules.html.

The show is being produced by POKER PROductions, which also produces “Poker After Dark” for NBC. Look for additional details to be released in the near future.

This press release was written by Dennis Oehring, who serves as the Public Relations Coordinator for the firm POKER PROductions.

100th Anniversary Pumpkin Show Mural Made in to Deck of Playing Cards

100th Anniversary Pumpkin Show Mural Made in to Deck of Playing Cards

Circleville, OH (PRWEB) September 25, 2006

Treasure Isle (http://www.circlevillegifts.com) and “Real” Souvenir Playing Cards (part of Newt’s Playing Cards) has introduced a deck of playing cards featuring the 100th Anniversary Pumpkin Show Mural.

The 100th Anniversary Pumpkin Show Mural is currently being painted by renowned muralist and Circleville native, Eric Henn and is scheduled to be completed for the Pumpkin Show’s opening ceremonies. This deck of cards features that mural on each card back.

The court cards and tens feature 5 of Eric’s prints on the faces. From his “big pumpkin” image with a farmer and his wife, to his Norman Rockwell looking image of a Circle City Dairy truck, Eric brings out the best of Circleville and the Pumpkin Show.

“As folks set their lawn chairs in front of the Pumpkin Show Mural to watch it being painted, they can grab a deck of playing cards and play a few hands of rummy,” said James Esteph, President of Newt’s Playing Cards. “Right now the deck of cards gives a glimpse of what is to come, later the deck will make a wonderful souvenir.”

About the Publisher, Newt’s Playing Cards

In 2004 Newt’s Playing Cards offered its first edition Pumpkin Show Playing Cards with a normal deck of playing cards packaged in a souvenir tin. The cards were printed in a very low quantity and only sold a couple hundred.

In 2005 Newt’s introduced a deck of “real” souvenir playing cards highlighting historical photos of Circleville Ohio. The deck was successful and ended up being the launching point for many other historical organizations to make their own deck of playing cards as a fundraiser. It is the dream of Newt’s Playing Cards to bring back more of the historical look of “real” souvenir playing cards. (http://www.realsouvenirplayingcards.com)
